Rose and Butterfly Sign

Hi everyone, Steph Ackerman here today with a new summer sign to share.

This pretty sign would look lovely in any room, don't you think?

I used the Delta Sander to sand down a wood sign.

The Pen Sander works great around the edges of the wood sign.

Paint sign with Martha Stewart Home Décor Eggshell paint.

Use a stencil with molding past to create dimension on the sign.  Add color with Folk Art Outdoor Paint in Red Hot, Cabana, and Light Pink.

Make the paint fluid by spritzing with water and allowing it to drip.  Rotate the sign to move the paint around the panel.  Remove some of the excess paint by dabbing the sign with a paper towel.

Once dry, adhere paper flowers.  Insert tiny bunches of flowers.  Punch butterflies from Rinea Foiled Papers in Blush/Gold Glossy Foiled Paper and die cut leaves from Emerald/Gold Glossy Foiled Paper.  Stamp images with Brilliance Ink in Sky Blue.  Stamp a grid pattern with Memento Luxe ink in Love Letters, around the flowers.

Create a hole in the top with the Bench Drill Press.  Tie twine to create a hanger.

Thanks for stopping by.
